I cannot believe it's the last week of September! This year has flashed by quicker than any other year, in my opinion. September has been absolutely chaotic, but in a really really great way.

My parents just left after a week-long visit (phew!). It was nice seeing my dad (we last saw him in February!) and also being able to celebrate my mom's birthday together. I've been spending the last few days to take some time for myself to unwind.

I'm looking forward to a fresh week ahead! I've got a lot lined up -- another chiropractor appointment (more on that next week), a few training sessions, a photoshoot, and lots of housework.

On my mind and online:

1. Talk about modern-day fashion!

How fun is this? It's such a welcome change to what fashion shows typically are. The models look like they're genuinely enjoying themselves! If we're being totally honest, I've never understood why the slightest smile is never cracked on the runway. I know people say it's to keep the tone and everything relatively serious, but why? Why can't fashion be fun? It's how people express themselves, overall, so what's so wrong with smiling? I can tell you as a viewer, I sure was grinning while scrolling through this article!

Also, he's taken the Internet by storm, but if you haven't seen this model stomp down the runway, so need to stat!

2. The Politician

I was mindlessly scrolling through titles on Netflix yesterday, when I came across this new original series. I read the description, wasn't really sold, but had nothing better to do, so I started it. I just finished season one, and I can't wait for the next season! I thought most of season one was a bit messy and super unrealistic (Do all these kids not have present parents? Where are the teachers? It's a high school student body election, but it's presented as if it were a real and tense presidential election with a campaign team and all...), but the last episode was where it got good. Spoiler alert: they are all in college and I felt like the plot and the events finally made more sense for where they were in life. I definitely feel like the show has potential and I hope Netflix will tap into that when producing season 2.

3. Rebecca Taylor RNTD

I don't know if y'all heard, but Rebecca Taylor started their own clothing rental service. They're one of my all-time favorite brands, so I'm very excited about this. I might give it a try down the line (I'm old-fashioned and I like owning my clothes), but for those of you who are already fans of Rent the Runway and Rebecca Taylor, this seems like an amazing program! Their pieces usually range from $150-$600, so you'll save quite a bit of money with their rental service.

4. What's the point of fashion?

Google recommended this article to me and I loved every bit of it. Give it a read and let me know your thoughts!

5. A little bathroom humor

In true dad fashion, my dad sent me this article a few days ago about a woman getting stuck in the bathroom mid-flight. Thankfully, she was not hurt, so it ended up being just funny news.

Another interesting thing that made the news? This article, which was wild from start to finish, but I really got a kick out of the toilet's name (ha!).

2. I've posted some pictures with it on Instagram, but many of you have probably seen my beige canvas bag that I bought in Hong Kong in July (see it here). I've gotten a lot of use out of it -- it's the perfect size and goes with everything, so lately, I've been considering pulling the trigger on this CELINE one that I've been eyeing for months. In fact, I'm pretty sure the CELINE one was why I was drawn to my brand-less bag (to try out the look). There are two things holding me back: the material (gets dirty really easily) and of course, the price. I'm hesitant to spend $1,750 + tax on a canvas bag. A leather bag, I totally get, but canvas? Not sure I can bring myself to pay $1,730 more for basically the same bag but with a designer name slapped in huge letters across the front. I might've just talked myself out of it. I'm probably going to put that money towards another Chanel purse.

3. I wanted to get your opinion on something -- namely, these boots. I've seen so many girls rocking them and it made me want to order a pair for myself. But I'm seriously convinced that I'll look so ridiculous in them that I just want to spare myself the trouble. I barely wear ankle booties as is, and a white pair? I'm on the fence... They are only $80 though, so if you're looking for a pair of white booties, these are perfect! Or if you'd like to. try them out with me, it wouldn't be a huge loss if they don't work out.

4. The Shopbop sale has been bizarre! They're doing 20% off orders under $500 and 25% off orders over $500! I haven't had a chance to shop it yet, but don't think I didn't browse and add about a dozen things to my cart. Here's what caught my eye:

5. I know clear bags were all the rage last season. I've been seeing bags like these popping up all over the place, so I guess we've got a new trend on our hands? Not sure how I feel about this one...I love shearling and fuzzy jackets, but I'm not in love with furry bags. The main thing that comes to mind is: what if I spill on it or set it down on the floor? I can easily wipe something off a leather bag (which, for the most part, has a flat surface), but we all know what a pain it is to clean fur.

I've got a few outfit posts lined up for next week, which I'm excited for you all to see! Until then, I hope you all have a fabulous week!
