The truth is, mothers are the absolute best and they deserve more than just one day of celebration. But when that day rolls around, I make sure to shower my mom with lots of love. I won't be able to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom this year, which is such a bummer, as my family has a tradition of going out to brunch at Quattro (they always set up the most beautiful elaborate dessert bar!).
Birthdays and holidays alike, it's not all about the presents. I always get my mom a little something (I've gotten her a purse a few years running), but as my mom so kindly puts it, spending time together and creating memories is more meaningful than a present. One of my primary love languages is gifts, so I really can't help myself there. And for those of you who want to spoil your mama like me, I've put together a handy little gift guide, with most items being under $50 and several not over-the-top splurges!
Whether you're making your mom a nice breakfast in bed or FaceTiming with her from a different state or country, be sure to tell her that you love her and how much you appreciate her. After all, that is what's most important!
