A smile is the prettiest thing you can wear. Ain't that the truth.
I have spent years and years of my childhood fixing up my teeth. I had it all: braces, retainers, and even several dental procedures and surgeries to make sure everything was where it was supposed to be. Basically, I had everything but a headgear. So it doesn't come as a surprise that I grew up quite self-conscious about my smile. A few years later, once I had my teeth all straightened out, I began to make it my #1 priority to keep them in tip top shape.
As an avid tea drinker, I undoubtedly have stains. I'm sure my coffee days, albeit in the past, have done a number on my teeth, too. While my stains aren't terrible or even incredibly noticeable, they're there. I've been using run-of-the-mill whitening toothpaste for quite some time now, and I've seen little to no difference. So, I've just shrugged it off, thinking that there was no solution other than a visit to the dentist, which, if you know me, I'm happy to put off for as long as possible.
Now, I'm not one for DIY projects, so I was kind of nervous going in. But after chatting with the nicest staff, they made sure that I was squared away with the most fitting kit -- the T3 system, which is perfect for lightly stained sensitive teeth. They ensured me that their product could help me restore my teeth's optimal whiteness for a fraction of what I'd pay at the dentist. Yes, please!
I was initially terrified that my sensitive teeth would not be able to handle this process, but to my delight, I haven't experienced much irritation post-whitening! The most "discomfort," if you can even call it that, is a split-second pinch afterwards. And honestly, it's so infrequent that I don't notice it very much.
My favorite thing about the Smile Brilliant kits are their custom teeth whitening trays. You get fitted for a custom mold to ensure maximum whitening. How cool is that? It's not a one-size-fits-all kind of product, like the other 99.9% of the teeth whitening products on the market. I think that really goes to show that the folks over at Smile Brilliant are truly dedicated with helping us attain our teeth's maximum whiteness potential.
I like to pop in my trays right before bed, as I unwind with an episode or two of my current show. It's now become part of my bedtime routine, and it seriously couldn't be easier.
I was most surprised with how quickly the product worked. It only took about 10 applications for me to notice a difference. Check out my before and after photos below!
The wonderful thing about this at-home system is that you can stop any time you feel that your teeth are white enough. The results are quick (believe me!) and you may not even end up needing all the whitening gels in the kit. The remaining product can be saved and used for touch-ups in the future (you can store them at room temperature for one year or refrigerated for 2 years!).
I really appreciate good customer care. It's something that's important to me as a consumer. The staff at Smile Brilliant truly went above and beyond with addressing all my concerns and sharing some useful tips with me, which I wanted to pass on to you, in case you've got a Smile Brilliant kit of your own:
* To protect gums from irritation or sensitivity, apply Vaseline or coconut oil on your gums during the treatment
* Increase the whitening time by 15 minutes per session for quicker results
* If you skin a day of whitening, try to do a 20 minute desensitizing gel session, as that will prevent your teeth from re-staining
