To me, summer is the happiest time of the year. Yes, it's hot, but I just love how happy everybody is with the sun out. Samuel and I just celebrated our birthdays, and some of my favorite people are celebrating their birthdays in the next few weeks, so I was inspired to create a summer gift guide. So whether you're looking for gift ideas for someone special or just looking to treat yourself, you're in the right place!
CaseApp phone case // I recently designed two phone cases with CaseApp (here and here). I think of my phone as an extension of my style, so of course, it needs to be chic! Whenever I get a new phone, I find myself scouring the internet for the perfect phone case, though I usually just end up settling for a phone case that only meets my functional requirements. CaseApp allows you to design the phone case of your dreams or simply choose from their expansive collection of designs. They have two types of phone cases -- a simple shell or a 2-piece case that offers maximum protection. I opted for the simple shell for a minimalistic look, but I like that there's the option of a more protective case.
Illesteva sunglasses // As you all know, I'm a huge fan of Illesteva sunglasses. I own several pair that I've worn over and over again. I'm quite certain that they're the only sunglasses of mine that I actually wear. I've been eyeing this pair for quite some time now -- I think they'd match my closet palette really well!
Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau de Toilette // This is one of the perfumes I constantly have on my vanity. It's been a favorite of mine for a few years, but I especially love it in the summertime because of the crisp notes.
Chanel nail polish // I've talked so much about these Chanel polishes on the blog. They are truly the best nail polishes I've ever used -- the color is incredibly rich, it goes on easily, and doesn't chip instantly. Their reds and pinks are staples in my beauty arsenal.
Pamela Munson clutch // I've been eyeing this clutch for some time, and finally picked one up for a friend's wedding. I was hesitant about spending so much on a straw clutch that I would probably only wear once or twice, but it was just too cute.
Jack Rogers sandals // You ladies know that I love my Jack Rogers Lauren sandals. I own several pairs of them, and I wear them with everything, since they literally go with all my outfits. I picked up the pink pair last year, wore them to the ground in Europe, and ordered another one ASAP. I also have the brown, white, and platinum pair. If you're on the lookout for a pair of summer sandals, these are perfect.
Lilly Pulitzer hat // There are very few days in the summer when my hair isn't up. I hate how it feels when my hair sticks to my face when I'm sweaty. When it's super sunny out, I always bring along a hat to keep my scalp covered up, too. Have you ever burned your scalp? Take it from me, it's no fun. I've learned my lesson, and I now stock up on cute hats for the summertime. Samuel and I collectively have a dozen or two of the Vineyard Vines hats, which are good solid staples, but I'm really loving these Lilly ones!
JORD watch // The folks over at JORD Watches sent me this Cassia watch (in zebra and ivory) to try out and share. Initially, I wasn't sure what to think of the watch, as it's made of wood. Yes, you read that correctly, it's a wooden watch. I was intrigued, so I wore it out for the next few days upon receiving it. A full disclosure: I didn't even expect a wooden watch to look remotely stylish. I had pegged them to be clunky and impractical; clearly, I was misguided. My first impression was that it's a solid, well-made watch. It's a unique piece, and it lends a sophisticated and polished quality to any outfit. I felt incredibly chic with this watch on my wrist.
They have a large assortment or men's and women's watches, and I'm seriously considering picking one up for Samuel so we can match. I'm also coming up with a list of family and friends who love collecting watches, and I just know that they would be thrilled with this distinctive timepiece.
I'm a sucker for beautiful packaging -- it's plenty enough for me to want to buy a product. This JORD watch was sent in a gorgeous keepsake wooden box with a little drawer for all the extra parts. I've noticed myself reaching for a watch to complete my outfits fairly often. I've been gifted several watches over the course of this year, and with this new unique addition, I now have a watch for every occasion.
I've teamed up with JORD to give away $100 for you to use towards a JORD watch. It only takes a few seconds to enter here. Good luck!
Capri Blue candle // I've been burning my Capri Blue candles day in day out -- they really are the perfect scents for the summer! I especially love the volcano candle. If you've ever been to an Anthropologie store and wondered what candle they were burning, it's this one! Even my mom, who is insanely sensitive when it comes to fragrance, swiped one of my candles and lights it every night in the TV room.
Trademark tote // I love large carryalls, since they're what I end up using on an everyday basis. While I have a few go-to crossbody bags that are great for hands-free errands, you can't beat a spacious tote with room to everything. I recently purchased this tote for my aunt, and I was debating keeping it for myself. The gingham pattern on this bag is so darling and perfect for spring and summer.
Lilly Pulitzer x Swell bottle // I haven't picked a Lilly x Swell bottle yet, and thankfully, there are still plenty left online and in stores. I'm torn between "Shell We Dance" and "Catch the Wave." Have you gotten your bottle yet? Which print did you choose? I might just cave and buy them all, since I've been getting a lot of use out of my bottles lately, with all the traveling we've been doing. I'm giving away a $200 Lilly Pulitzer gift card to one lucky lady, so whether you've been thinking about finally pulling the trigger and ordering all the bottles (like me!) or picking up a new dress for the 4th of July, I've got you covered! All you have to do to enter is to enter the JORD giveaway here, take a screenshot of your page after you've submitted your entry, and email it to me (email@example.com). And that's it -- you'll be entered in both drawings! The JORD winner will be contacted by one of their representatives, and the Lilly winner will receive an email from me.
