Hong Kong at night is a whole different world. Ever since I was a little girl, I've been in awe of all the bright and sparkly building. It's still quite unreal to me, to this day. But don't think I'm dismissing the city in broad daylight -- I think it's still beautiful in a different way. One of my favorite spots to take in Hong Kong is at Victoria Peak. Sure, it's a tourist favorite, but for good reason: the views are jaw-dropping.
Since this was such a short trip, we opted out of Victoria Peak and instead spent the afternoon in Soho and Lan Kwai Fong. Like I've said before, I haven't spent too much time in this area, so I'm not very familiar with it. I do know that there are plenty of historical sites that are worth visiting, like the Fringe Club and the Government House. It's fascinating to me to see the juxtaposition of old colonial sites and 100-story modern office buildings.
I wore this Lilly dress on our last day in Hong Kong. I'm so glad that I brought along loose and comfortable dresses to wear on this trip. It makes me wonder how I ever survived summers in Hong Kong in jeans!
The last day of vacation is always so bittersweet, especially if it was a good trip or someplace that you love. It's hard to say goodbye to Hong Kong because it's essentially my second home, but on the other hand, I know for certain that we will be back plenty.
