Gingham is trending hard this season, and I'm all about it! Truth be told, I don't own very many gingham pieces -- most are just the classic button-down shirts. I couldn't turn down this dress because I love any dress with sleeves, bows, and pockets. The tri-color gingham made this dress a little more interesting, too.

As much as I love this dress (and I really do!), I think I'll need to take it in to my tailor and get the bust area sewn shut. I'm not able to share as many pictures here as I'd like because of that wardrobe malfunction. But I'm relieved to have learned that a lot of you have the same issue, so we're all in the same boat!

I don’t wear heels very often, but these espadrilles (not the ones I'm wearing) are my one exception. Come spring and summer, I find myself wearing these espadrilles quite frequently. They’re much more manageable than tiny stilettos because (woah, flashback to physics) wedge sandals have a larger surface area and your weight is distributed more evenly. I own several pairs of espadrilles, and I highly recommend these ones — they’re the most comfortable pair I own.

A pair of white espadrilles are one of my spring/summer staples. They go so well everything you wearing during those seasons -- flowy dresses, shorts, or even jeans and a button down on a cooler night.

Can we talk about how cute this straw tote is? I spotted a similar style while browsing ShopBop a few weeks ago, but ultimately went with the smaller version. I liked the unique shape more, but if you’re looking for a bigger rectangular one, this is a great option.
