I'm very particular about accessories: I tend to always go straight for classic leather bags, regardless of what styles and materials are in season. That's why I was all the more shocked when I began to gravitate towards wicker, straw, and basket weave bags when spring rolled around. Two weeks in and I could already tell that these bags are my new obsession: I've collected a number of these bags that's already in the double digits.

These bags bags are so quintessentially summer. They are chic, low maintenance, and give you that carefree look. Best of all, they pair well with everything in my spring and summer wardrobe. I've got a few more pieces that are still in production or en route. I can't wait to get my hands on them, especially this one and this one!

Most of these bags fall in the "under $100" price range, which gives me all the more reason to stock up! Of course, if you're looking to splurge, I found this gorgeous option and this nostalgic one that are on my wish list.

I love that plenty of these companies and brands give back to the artisans, usually women(!), in developing countries or support a good cause. Whenever possible, I try to shop locally or at small businesses, so it's a win that these handmade products are the hottest accessories this summer!

All my bags are linked below, and I've also rounded up several other styles that are just too cute to pass up:
