FLORALS ON LOMBARD

This season's surplus of longer dress styles is a blessing and a curse. The trends this spring are exactly in line with my style. I can rarely go into a store and not leave without a new dress.

I like to justify my purchases by convincing myself that a spring collection this good won't come around every year, so I might as well just go for it. But we all know I'm just fooling myself.

I've been spending quite a bit of time in San Francisco lately for business and pleasure. Lombard Street is one of my personal favorite tourist spots. The view is breathtaking. I used to love nothing more but to have my parents drive down the crooked street with me and then take me for ice cream afterwards. We hadn't been there in years, and it was a blast from the past to be back in that very spot.

We decided to walk down Lombard, a first for all of us, and it wasn't even close to how steep I thought it would be. After one struggling drive down the zig-zag road in a GoCar a few summers back, I am unwilling to make my way down Lombard any other way other than by foot.

The walk down allowed for more time to take in the view and more photo opportunities, but I'd highly recommend driving down Lombard, too. That way, you experience it all. It doesn't take long either.
